Do I pay when idle?
No. Compute scales to zero when nothing is running, so idle ingestion infrastructure costs roughly nothing and warehouses wake on the first query. A suspended environment costs storage only.
Can I read my data outside EVE?
Yes. Your data lives as Parquet in an S3 bucket you own, readable by any engine that speaks Parquet. There is no proprietary storage format and no export tax - you can move off without paying to leave.
What is a dedicated cluster?
Each workspace runs on its own compute, database, and storage - never shared pods with another customer. Isolation is real infrastructure, not a row-level filter, which is why an idle workspace can suspend to zero independently.
How do environments bill?
Each environment - dev, uat, prod - is its own cluster with its own compute and storage. You pay for what each one runs, and you can suspend any environment to pay storage only while it sleeps.
